North Korea's government is systematically attempting to exterminate Christianity.

North Korea's isolation has enabled it's leaders to brainwash the population and teach them unquestioning obedience to their authority. The leaders Kim IL Sung (deceased) and his son Kim Jong IL instituted a personality cult in which they are worshipped. No belief in a higher authority is allowed. Being a Christian is a criminal act.

Before the communist regime was installed, North Korea was the centre of revival and Pyongyang was known as the Jerusalem of the East. Kim IL Sung, when he was alive ordered that 3 generations of a Christian's family must be eliminated. Many Christians have been executed and others have been imprisoned where they are subject to severe torture and abuse. We believe that the suffering of the Christians in North Korea may be the worst anywhere in the world.
